Chelsey Wirtz earned her Master’s degree in Counseling Psychology from Saint Mary’s University and has been in the mental health field for over five years. She is working under the supervision of Dr. Elizabeth Wagner in pursuit of her License as a Professional Clinical Counselor. Her experience includes crisis counseling, residential and day treatment programming for adolescents, and individual, family, and group counseling.
She is providing individual and family therapy to children, adolescents, and adults. She takes a warm, non-judgmental approach with a focus on the client-therapist relationship. Her approach incorporates evidence-based treatments, including Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Trauma Focused -CBT, and Motivational Interviewing, as well as aspects of art therapy and family systems therapy. She has a special interest in working with adolescents, trauma, and attachment-related disorders.
