Kayla Pease is a Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC) working under the supervision of Dr. Elizabeth Wagner and Dr. Erin Shields.  She has experience providing assessment and treatment to children, adolescents, and their families. Kayla completed her Master of Arts in Counseling Psychology – Clinical Mental Health at The University of South Dakota and completed both her internship and initial licensing supervision at Southeastern Behavioral Healthcare in her hometown of Sioux Falls, South Dakota. During her time there, she provided therapy services in home-based and school-based settings and discovered her passion for working with children. This passion prompted Kayla to pursue additional post-graduate play therapy coursework at South Dakota State University, underwent additional training and supervision, and ultimately achieved her Registered Play Therapist (RPT) certification. In 2021, Kayla relocated to the greater Minneapolis area where she provided therapy services in both outpatient and school-based settings at Relate Counseling Center. She is dual-licensed in South Dakota and Minnesota at the LPC level and is currently in the final stages of obtaining Licensed Professional Clinical Counselor (LPCC) status in Minnesota.

Kayla uses a compassionate, warm approach with her focus in play therapy, mindfulness, and a person-centered therapy.
