Kelly Buchta is a licensed independent clinical social worker who received her master’s degree in social work from St. Cloud State University. Kelly provides individual therapy to both children and teens and values the therapeutic alliance with clients and their families. Her previous experience providing individual and group psychotherapy to children and adolescents attending Day Treatment has greatly contributed to her passion working with individuals who have experienced complex trauma and struggling to manage an array of symptoms related to this.
Kelly believes kids learn, understand, and express themselves in a variety of ways and therefore interventions should be unique and specific to each individual client. She utilizes a strength’s based and systems approach when working with clients as well as incorporates the developmental repair model; working towards improved mental health symptoms across settings.
